The gray sky was the perfect backdrop for our romantic meets modernist SS13 collection.
Our gorgeous model, Germaine, teetered on the roof top of Satya's downtown home while photographer <a href="http://www.matthewtischler.com//" target="_blank"><u><strong>Matthew Tischler</strong></u></a> shot the headpieces imminent of a massive storm.

It is great to have Satya back in New York after 3 months in Paris being inspired by the language, colors and sophistication. While Satya's best work comes to her in the heat of the moment, (like the golden feathered fascinator that is being fitted to the model- below) - she has returned to New York with new direction and it is apparent in her newest SS13 collection.

We are excited for you to see the SS13 collection in full...for now here is a sneak peek of what happened behind the scenes...

As I write this, I am in a cheese (fromage!) coma; I spent the evening eating a variety of delicious French cheeses & sipping champagne at a friend's beautiful Paris apartment in the Marais...<br>
<br>
<em>{...I admit, I have yet to master the skill of savuering each bite that French women are notorious being skilled at (and which allows them to look amazing and eat delicious goodies). I definitely over did it - no regrets}</em> <bR>
<br>
This week was filled with amazing people, eating incredible food & just enjoying the present moment... It reminds me how easy it is to just take some time and enjoy.

<br>
<br>
<strong> So with that in mind, have a delicious weekend and remember to take time to sip some champagne! x</strong>

<p>

It has only been 4 weeks since I arrived in Paris and I feel at home here. My experiences have been so wonderful. I have taken French lessons, eaten incredible food and walked (and ridden my bike "velo") everywhere. Next month includes cooking classes...more eating and possible a new area to live in.

<br>
<br>
I find myself curiously fascinated with Jardins (parks) here in Paris, I always end up sitting, eating or reading in one each day...and i love being by the Seine. My mother pointed out that I am a Pisces...that never even occurred to me.(ha!)

<br>
<br>
One thing that keeps coming up is how lucky I am to be able to come and live my fantasy.
So if anything remember to live fully and go for your dreams!

<p>

There is nothing more romantique than a Paris passage...Today I spent time exploring some of the coolest, most romantique, yummy ones and here's what i have for you...

<br>
<br>
In Paris there are many gorgeous covered passages with glass roofs, gorgeous floors and beautiful light fixtures...
<br>
<br>
At one point there were over 140 passages (many of them connecting to each other!). These passages were places to shop and a way to protect visitors / Parisians from weather and the dirty streets (think of a more civil life). Many of these Passages were abandoned due to large departments stores and because of the redevelopment of Paris by Haussmann (1850S...)
<br><bR>
Now there are only a few Passages left BUT! fear not they have been making a come back AND each time I visit Paris they are attracting even more interesting designers, flueristes, restaurants and book stores! They are such fun, I hope you take a look at my google map (below) and leave comments about additional passages that you discover!

<br>
<br>
<b>Here's my map:</b>

I don't know if i am on my 5th croissant or my 10th this week...i have probably logged 5 miles a day (thank you Jack Purcells for your support) and I have seen the tour Eiffel ever day since I have arrived (at night when she lights up and during the day as she glistens). I have seen shops, met designers and bought a few nice things. I am posting pictures as I go on instagram and some on facebook on twitter...so make sure to follow for more great things!
<br>
<br>

Here are a few of my favorite things...

<br>
<br>

<p>

</p>

<p>
First things first, the flowers here in Paris are on another level, they smell freshly cut and the creativity is merely genius. My favorite bouquet was given to me by love Jeffrey. The roses looked most closely like peonies and in romantically ombred wash of pinks. When I went to see the florist who made this incredible bouquet (by the way she put grape leave stems and petals, something i have never seen before...)I was blown away by the other assortments / bouqets of flowers

1.<u><strong> <a href="http://www.tzurigueta.com/index.php/collections-2" target="_blank"> TZURI GUETA </A></strong></u> |
This artist designer has her shop in the Viaducs (which is one of my favorite places in Paris, I will be posting more about other designer / aristes who also have there stores. I was particularly amazed by how closely her pieces looked like sea creatures!

<BR>
<BR>

2. <u><strong><a href="http://www.matejewski.com/page/collection_catalogue/n3/1" target="_blank"> MAT + JEWSKI </A></strong></u>
This guy rocks! i want to buy multiple pieces for my NY Studio... I think the chandelier is a must, what do you say?

<BR>
<BR>

3. <u><strong><a href="http://dupainetdesidees.com/" target="_blank">Du Pain Des Idees</A></strong></u>
Du Pain Des Idees. You can smell it from a mile away. My favorites things are the small breads filled with treasures like (goat cheese, olives, tomatoes, meat). Make sure to get a Baguette Ancienne, it is divine! This is located in 10 eme.

<BR>
<BR>

4. <u><strong><a href="http://thisisstory.com/" target="_blank"> JAMBOX</A></strong></u>
I bought this before my trip from THIS IS STORY in Chelsea and it's incredible. Jeffrey and I fight over who gets to use it. It's light, it wirelessly plays music, you can take conference calls on it. WHAM BAM!

<BR>
<BR>

5. <u><strong><a href="http://www.velib.paris.fr/" target="_blank"> VELIB! </A></strong></u>
Once i figured out how to get my subscription and a VELIB card it has been by far the most useful and fun thing to have. If you don't know what Velib is...do go to the website (above). They have over 100 stations in Paris and for the first 30 minutes your ride is free (a year subscription will cost you 29 Euros). You can ride and stop at any of the locations in Paris when you want! Any time over 30 minutes is additional, but i have found that you can easily stay under 30 min and do what you want / need.

<br>
<br>

<<BONUS>> Find yourself a hot frenchie and romantically ride around town. My man Jeffrey pictured above, tres romantique!

<BR>
<BR>

6. <strong><a href="http://www.stephaneverdino.com//" target="_blank"> Stephane Verdino</A></strong>
I met my PERFECT handbag match. This handbag...which i plan to buy in an assortment of colors and sizes, is perfect for me! I started with the medium tote. For any of you who know me well, will see why this is the most amazing thing for >me<...neoprene = washable, inside out. Amazing.

...So this summer, for the first time, my studio will closed. This is because I will be living and working from PARIS for the next 10 weeks. This is something I have talked about doing for years...and I finally decided that I needed to do it now.

<br>
<br>
I have rented a beautiful apartment in the Marais, down the street from Place de Vosges and near all the wonderful boutiques and amazing restaurants.

<br>
<br>
I leave tonight...and for now adieu! xx s
