Naples Florida with @MarissaNaples

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Naples Florida; I was hosted by Marissa Hartington from Marissa Collections as the premiere milliner for the Hats in the Garden Event at the Naples Botanical Garden. First off, what paradise! Naples is gorgeous! (See images below of Naples). Second, the women are kind, generous and are great arbiters of style and class. I sat at Karen Scott's table next to the lovely and beautiful Kellie Burns. Karen wore Blu London fascinator. Karen is highly involved with the event and such a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor! It was great to spend time with her and her wonderful lady friends in Naples.

I can really go on and on about the ladies of Naples...I look forward to my next visit (which may have to happen in January or February). Thank you to Marissa, Burt & Jay Hartington, Julie Hussey & the Marissa Collections (amazing!)team and to Karen Scott for being a most wonderful host. And LASTLY thank you to my friend Kristin Kelly who introduced me to the Marissa CollectionS team.

Satya & Holly Studio Launch Party

Holly and I threw a party to celebrate the launch of our shared work and showroom space at Space 530. It's been really great working in such a fun, gorgeous new space and Holly and I are having a blast together. We are constantly playing dress up with hats, bags, clothes and shoes!

@Birchbox video - how to wear hats!

The NEW Studio - sneak peak

The NEW Studio...day 1 (not finished)

So this week we moved my studio from my apartment to SPACE 530 in the Garment district! it's an incredible space and i hope you will come to visit. I will be sharing my space with Holly Caldwell, the incredibly talented handbag designer that our mutual friend Rachel Shechtman introduced to me at my ABC Trunk Show in May. It was instant love between me and Holly and we've had fun planning and designing our space. Here's us dressing up in Holly's fur collars, which as available at Showroom! Happy long weekend! i will be working with Holly on getting our space ready for Fashion Week and finishing pieces for Fashion Night at Henri Bendel

Welcome the Michel hat to the Fall Collection

It seems only appropriate to launch the Fall collection today, first being September 1 and because the MICHEL HAT is featured on the Fashion & Styles section of the NY TIMES online (see earlier blog post). I am so excited about the Fall collection, it's bold and colorful!

New York Times - Fashion & Style Section

Today we were mentioned in the NY Times for the opening of the fabulous store Dagny & Barstow . It's the first retail venture from college friends Emily Titelman and Meredith Blank and opening this weekend! The store is at 64 Gansevoort Street, (212) 675-2346. Make sure to check it out. Both Emily & Meredith have incredible sense of style and have filled their store with pieces from their worldly travels and some great hats!
